To celebrate the HCP 2018-2019 Fall-Winter collection, Skin-Tech, Louisiane SpA organised the second “Arte e Pelle” event, revealing the new collection of exotic leathers and honouring fourteen works of art created by young artists inspired by the themes and colours of this season.
At the centre of “Arte e Pelle”, our materials – exotic leathers – have merged with the artistic visions of these young artists. This event, whose first edition was held in 2016, was born from our belief in the existence of an important connection between creativity and innovation. This year, the event was held in the centre of Milan, in the historical Villa Necchi. Our guests were able to soak in the beauty of the villa and discover the history of the residence through the “Fondo Ambiente Italiano”, an organisation that supports the Italian artistic and architectural heritage throughout the country.
The fourteen finalists were selected from among a vast number of candidates from the universities of Milan and Florence. Each student was asked to be inspired by the new Hcp 18-19 FW collection and put his or her creativity to the test by giving life to a work of art using the artistic domain personally chosen, always conserving a connection with the world of technology. The jury of the competition was comprised of our guest customers who were present on this day.
The 60 guests and the representatives of the Hcp Executive Committee chose the work of art “Connections” by Lidia Sartori, a student at the Instituto Europeo di Design of Milan. Lidia’s sculpture will be exhibited both at the Première Vision leather exhibition of Paris and at the Lineapelle exhibition of Milan. Lidia will be present to speak about her inspiration and her creative process with the visitors.
